Obituary of Thomas Jarosz

Thomas J. Jarosz recently of Loch Sheldrake passed away on Monday, September 26, 2011 at Catskill Regional Medical Center. He was 80. He was the son of the late Bernice Jarosz, born on May 12, 1931 in Chicago, IL. Thomas proudly served our country in the United States Navy from 1948-1957, he was just 17 when he enlisted. Thomas was born and raised in Chicago and enjoyed many thing such as playing golf, traveling, playing pinochle, and euchre. He was a baseball fan and traveled across the country of visit all the major league baseball field. In 1957 he made Rochester his home and attended RIT and achieved an Associate and Bachelor's degree in 1967. During this time he was a member of the Dutch Reformed Church. He later went to work for Kodak until his retirement in 1989, when he made Port Charlotte, Florida his new home; with his loving wife Margaret Van Pelt Jarosz, whom he was married to for 60 years but she predeceased him in April 2011. While in Florida he was an active member of the Lutheran Church of the Cross. He enjoyed many things throughout his life but above everything else he loved spending time with his family. He was a loving father and grandfather and great grandfather that will be sorely missed. He is survived by his loving children Marge Sabinsky and her husband Bruce, , John T. Jarosz of Farmington, Megan Guy and her husband Jeremy of North Dakota, Carolyn Sabinsky of Loch Sheldrake, Michael and Andrew Jarosz both of Macedon and their mother Catherine Jarosz of Honeoye Falls, and three great grandchildren. Services were held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers donations in Thomas's name can be made to the charity of one's own choice. Donations in Thomas's name can be made to the Lutheran Church of the Cross, 2300 Luther Road, Port Charlotte, Fl. 33983.
