Obituary of Walter Cook

Walter "Wesley" Cook of South Fallsburg, passed away in the comfort of his own home on Monday, October 10, 2011. He was 76. He was the son of the late Ernest and Erma Dischlatis Cook, born on January 18, 1935, in Jersey City, NJ. He was an faithful member of the Church of the Nazarene; he was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather that will be missed greatly. He is survived by his loving wife, Elinor M. Cook, whom he married on July 17, 1955; his children, Robin Cyrtmus of VA., Clayton Cook and his wife, Lorelei of Grahamsville, and Christine Allison and her husband, John of Woodbourne; grandchildren, Louis, Chelsea, Sean, Apollo, Amanda, Alesla, Crystal, Ryan, Samantha, Kacie, Jacob, and David; great grandchildren, Destiny, Noah, Emma, and Ailey; one brother, Ernest D. Cook and his wife, Barbara, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Geraldine M. DelGado. Visitation will be on Friday, October 14, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, NY 12788. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at 11 a.m. Rev. Roy Shafer will officiate. Interment will follow at the Westbrookville Cemetery in Westbrookville. In lieu of flowers donations in Wesley's name can be made to the Church of the Nazarene, Katrina Falls Rd, Rock Hill, NY 12775.
