Obituary of Joan Gorr

Joan Gorr of Livingston Manor passed away on Friday, October 14, 2011 at home surrounded by her family. She was 74. She was the daughter of the late Sherman L. and Anne Davis VanDuser, born on August 29, 1937 in Liberty, NY. Joan liked many things such has hunting and fishing but she especially loved to spend time with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother that will be sorely missed. She is survived by her loving husband Rowland Gorr at home, her children William "Billy" Fishe and his wife Debbie, of Cortland, Dale Fiske and his girlfriend Brenda of SC., Mary Atkins and her husband Ken of Grahamsville, and Frannie Gorr of Livingston Manor, 22 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, three sisters Betty Bean and her husband Melvin of Moravia, NY, Bonnie Mead, and Sharon Egan, six brothers Doug Jones of FL., Darryl VanDuser of SC, Fred VanDuser of Moravia, NY, Ronnie, Billy and Richard Mead. She was predeceased by her brothers Winnie and Sonny VanDuser, and Frank Mead. Visitation will be on Friday, October 21, 2011 at Herbert C. Bryant Funeral Home 29 Pearl Street, Livingston Manor, NY 12758 from 11-1pm. A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm at the funeral home; interment will follow at Orchard Street Cemetery.
