Obituary of Theodore Lindsey
Theodore "Teddy" Lindsay Jr. was born on June 26th, 1959 to Theodore R. Lindsay Sr. and Shirley (Shelley) Gene Lindsay at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, N.Y.
Teddy enjoyed learning the truth. And as a youngster you would find him at Sunday school in United Presbyterian Church. Teddy attended George W. Wingate H.S. in Brooklyn, NY, where he studied Automotive Mechanics. He was talented and gifted and could be relied upon to rebuild any car engine or repair anything. His parents (and friends) could depend on Teddy as a handi-man to fix things around the house and yard.
Teddy had many hobbies and therefore life was an adventure for him. He loved to drive and travel and along the way he wouldn't hesitate to stop and fish or hunt deer or bear. This and his love of family, made him joy to be around. Teddy was quick to plan a day and take the children out for R and R or the teens to a social gathering.
Teddy knew how to make anyone feel at home. He was a great cook who welcomed family, friends and even those down on their luck, to enjoy his hospitality. His door was open to everyone and no one was homeless around Teddy.
On Friday, November 11,God called Little Teddy home. . .Its not in the flash of the style you hone, or all the knowledge you've compiled; For God is looking for servants who own--The warm, willing heart of a child. Teddy will surely be missed but never forgotten.
Teddy leaves many loved ones to cherish his memory: his father Theodore R. Lindsay Sr., one sister, Deirdre Lindsay of Brooklyn, NY, one brother, Darren Lindsay of Swan Lake, NY, six children; Michael, Kelly, Jason, Matthew, DeSean, and Azaria and 5 grandchildren. Also cherishing his memory are a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
