Obituary of Betty Long

Betty Elizabeth Long from Pine Bush NY passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2011 surrounded by her family at Shands Hospital Jacksonville, Fl. She was 63. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Dorothy VanDuezen Brandy born on June 22, 1948 in Cornwall, NY. A family statement reads: She was the best mother and grandmother her family could have wished for. Betty was blessed with a love that only God could give and has moved on to a room reserved in Heaven. She will truly be missed. She was a wonderful caring person and loved her family very much and was loved by everyone she came in contact with. Betty had a big belief in God. Now at Peace. We love you mom Rest In Peace. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband Michael Long, her loving children Deborah Kourkoumelis, David Ofeldt, Robert Ofeldt, Steven Long, John Long, Darlene Long, grandchildren Christy Elizabeth, Zoi Marie, Michael, Jordan, Destiny, Trinity, Logan, Jonjon, Kira, Skyler, Nikkita, Scottie, Daryl, Jamie, her brothers Frank, Richard, Edward, and Robert, and her sisters Dorothy Estes and Nancy Baldwin. Visitation will be on Monday and Tuesday, January 2 - 3, 2012 at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home 396 State Route 52 Woodbourne, NY 12788 from 2-4 pm and 7-9pm. A funeral service will be on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at 8:00pm at the funeral home, Rev. Bob Kersten will officiate.
