Obituary of Gregory Navarro

Gregory Navarro Harris of Livingston Manor passed away on January 4, 2012 at home surrounded by his family. He was 56. He was the son of Daniel and Lucy Tucker Harris born on February 28, 1955 in Harlem, NY. He proudly served our country in the United States Army, Private first class in 1975. He later graduated from Sullivan County Community College with a degree in Alcohol and Substance abuse counseling, and was a counselor for many years. He was an active member of the Grooville Free Methodist Church for one year. Greg touched the lives of many people with his smile and sincerity and maintained his trademark sense of humor until the end. Greg will forever be remembered by his brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and several grandchildren; Along with countless friends and family who were blessed to have known him. Greg loved listening to jazz music, watching movies and sharing chocolate chip cookies with his grandchildren. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his devoted wife Susanne Harris at home his daughters Treasure & Medina, step-daughters, Allison, Cathleen, Victoria & Elizabeth, his son Gregory Jr., Daniel & Kareem, his grandchildren, brothers, sister, several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Visitation will be on Friday, January 6, 2012 at Herbert C. Bryant Funeral Home, 29 Pearl Street Livingston Manor, NY 12758 from 10-12:00pm. A funeral service will be at the funeral home on Friday, January 6, 2012 at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow at Sullivan County Veterans Cemetery with full military honors.
