Obituary of Albert Leroy Brown

Albert LeRoy Brown Sr., of Woodbourne, NY, passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2019, at his private residence. He was 81. He was the son of Winfred and Mildred (Briggs) Brown, born on November 12, 1937, in Ellenville, NY. Albert was a simple and humble person, who enjoyed the smaller things out of life. He started his career working in the army, which later received the "Good Conduct Medal". After leaving the army, he entered the job force as a skilled carpenter working for a construction company. Albert spent most of the free time working because he enjoyed working. When Albert had no more to work to be done, he would enjoy sitting down watching the weather channel to pass the time. Albert survived by his late wife Eunice Briggs- Brown, children, Eunice Brown, Terry Wood, Albert Brown Jr., Christina Brown; grandchildren, Joseph, Grieg , Albert III, Ricky, Tiffany, Kimberly, Jessica, Heather, Scott, and his special grandson Albert II; sister, Gertrude Yerkes, and six great-grandchildren . He also survived with his late sibling Harold, Robert, and Winnie. Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm to 2 pm on Sunday, October 13, 2019, at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 596 State Route 52, Woodbourne, NY. Interment will be held at later date at Sullivan County Veterans Cemetery.
