Obituary of Sherman Millard

Sherman Millard, Jr. of Monticello, passed away on September 3, 2019. He was 70.

He was the son of the late Mary Goodwin and Sherman Millard, Sr. born on May 17, 1949 in Brooklyn, NY.

Sherman was a hard working family man he had many jobs from delivering lumber to helping people in recovery and helping kids. He was a man who wore many hats. He loved his family especially his children, there wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do for them or his wife. He is now at rest with his sisters, brother and parents.

He leaves behind his brother Reginald Darby, sister-in-law Pam, his children Sherman III, Latisha, Tiffany, Regina, Leroy, Matthew, Nina, Elija, Lisa and Clara; his common-law wife Dorothy; as well as 18 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial visitation will be held from 1 to 2pm on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, NY 12788.
