Obituary of Thomas Nash

Thomas "Tom" Nash of Neversink, passed away on Friday, May 24, 2019 at the Sullivan County Adult Care Center in Liberty. He was 68.
The son of the late Vincent and Julia Beda Hegardt Nash, he was born on July 10, 1950 in Liberty, New York.
In his younger years, Tom played the tuba in his high school band, was a member of the FFA,  the free throw champ of his basketball team, and also a track runner. After graduating high school, he became a member of   the Neversink Fire Department where he served since 1969,  and was also  a past chief,  he loved Nascar , baseball and gardening, was an avid hunter, enjoyed playing golf and loved spending time with his friend Don on the farm. 
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his three beloved children, Robin Nash and her fiance',  Bruce Frunzi of Grahamsville, Erin Alvord and her husband, Shawn of Rock Hill, April Meade and her husband, Andrew of Neversink,  his six loving grandchildren, Jared Nash, Zackary and Nathan Alvord,  Alexander, and  Amaya Meade, and Anthony Frunzi, one sister, Julianne Nash, three brothers, James "Jim" Nash, and his wife Sue, John Nash, and Frederick "Fred" Nash and his wife, Mary, one sister-in-law, Helen Denman and his canine companion, "Jack."
Tom was the widower of his wife, Kim and they are now dancing in heaven. He was also predeceased by his brother, George Nash. 
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 31, 2019 from 4 to 6 PM at the Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, NY 12788. 
A firematic service will begin at 5:30 PM with the funeral service to follow immediately.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Tom's name may be made to the Neversink Fire Department, 7486 State Route 55, Neversink, NY 12765.
