Obituary of Mack Charles Carter

Mack Charles Carter "Rock" of Monticello passed away on Friday, April 19, 2019 at Catskill Regional Medical Center. He was 66.

 

The son of the late James N. Carter and Kadie V. Kirby, born on January 12, 1953 in South Carolina.

 

Rock worked for many years at Yellow Cab as a driver traveling all the roads in Sullivan County. He enjoyed being outside and being in nature especially fishing. when he wasn't fishing he would be playing basketball or racing cars. He had a great sense of humor and would often play jokes on his family and friends. He enjoyed going to Monticello Race Track and bet on the horses, watching old movies and listening to jazz music. He was always so kind and will be deeply missed by his friends and family.

 

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife Teresa Carter, his son Charles D. Carter, his siblings Rodney Carter, Audrey Julien (John), Deborah Thompson (Warren) Lenora Findling (Danny), Nathaniel "Butch" Carter (Leola), Kenneth Carter, and Lucille Harris (Ronald) and his sister-in-law Alice Carter, his grandchildren Alyssia and Nevaeh, his aunts and uncles, Elnora Kirby, and Edward Carter (Carey); Jessica Morgan and Ahriellah and Annahlise Morgan, and his best friend Eddie Clansy, and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, great grandnieces and great grandnephews, many cousins and a host of friends.

 

He was predeceased by his one brother Pierre Carter.

 

Visitation will be on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at Colonial Ramsey Funeral Home, 55 St. John Street, Monticello, NY 12701 from 11:00am-12:30pm. A funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 12:30pm with Rev. James Washington officiating.
