Obituary
Obituary of John Costello
John W. Costello Sr., also known as "Plick", of Livingston Manor NY, passed away after a long battle with cancer on January 1, 2019 at home, with his wife and daughter by his side. He was 61 years old.
He was the son of the late Henry Deemer and Eleanor Chmil, and biological son of John Costello, born on January 27, 1957 in Hampton, VA.
John grew up near Richlandtown in Bucks County, Pennsylvania in a large family with ten siblings in total. He was a proud veteran who joined the army to serve his country in 1976. John loved nothing more than to have a good time with his family and friends, and friends that became family. He was a true outdoorsman who loved to go fishing, have barbeques, fish fries and pig roasts. He loved to have bonfires, especially in the backyard for "Thirsty Thursdays", when a bunch of his friends would come over to hang out and have a lot of smiles, laughs and all around good times. He enjoyed going on camping trips to the Jersey Shore and anywhere else in the woods he could go. John's all-time favorite thing to do was go for a ride on his Harley Davidson motorcycle, even in the winter on the "warm" days. He loved to work with his hands and could fix just about anything that came into his path. His tinkering around and fixing whatever he could, led him to his final career in automotive as a mechanic. He remained dedicated to his family and fought his best battle, while continuing to be the same brave, strong, courageous and witty John that we all knew and love so much, even in his final weeks. He will be missed immeasurably.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 29 years, Georgia Costello; and three of his children; his daughter, Heather Costello of Livingston Manor; and his two sons, John Costello Jr. and David Costello (and wife Amber) all of California; Two brothers, Andrew "Scooter" Costello and Danny Deemer (and wife Beth); Three sisters, Tonya Deemer, Barbara Campbell (and husband Jim) and Ellie Duncan (and husband Rick); Five grandchildren, Jason, Michael, Cristal, Nikkie, and Jaxzon; Three brother in-laws, Eli Page, Ed Page and Bill Stickle; Two Sister in-laws, Donna Gregory and Lisa Costello-Zolnak; An "adopted in" daughter, Samantha Lundeen; An unforgettable, devoted best friend, Tim Mills Sr.; and several nieces, nephews, and friends. He was predeceased by his biological father John Costello, his step-father, Henry Deemer; Brothers – Timmy, Bobby and Brian Costello; Sisters – Debbie Costello and Teri Deemer.
