Obituary of Carol Ann Wasserman

Carol A. Wasserman, of Woodridge, NY, passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at Orange Regional Medical Center. She was 66.

The daughter of the late Fred and Marilyn Belmont Helm, she was born in Monticello, New York on November 22, 1952.

Carol was a life-long resident of Woodridge. She was a member of the Woodridge United Methodist Church. Throughout her working years Carol always worked in the Rehabilitation field and most recently was employed as an Assistant Director of Operations at the Samaritan Daytop Village in Ellenville, New York.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her brother, Robert Helm and his wife Cathy, a nephew, Eric Helm, a niece, Rachel Burrous, an ex-sister-in-law and dear friend, Sherry Helm as well as several other nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by one nephew, Matthew Helm.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Monday, January 07, 2019 from 7 to 9 PM at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, NY 12788. A Memorial Service will be held at 8:00 PM with the Rev. Walter Haaf, officiating.

In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Carol's name may be made to the Elissa Lippen & Matthew Helm Scholorship Fund C/O The Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan 30 Scotts Corners Drive Suite 203, Montgomery, NY 12549 or the American Cancer Society, 95 Schwenk Drive, Kingston, NY 12401.
