Obituary of Louis Piper

Louis Piper of Loch Sheldrake, NY passed away on December 15, 2018 at Catskill Regional Medical Center. He was 64 years old.

Louis is the son of the late Sgt. and Mrs. Louis James Piper; he was born at the US Military Academy at West Point, New York on May 24, 1954. Louis is survived by his extended family at New Hope Community. He is predeceased by his parents and his sister Linda Johnson.

Louis moved to Loch Sheldrake NY in 1980 and had briefly volunteered at the Loch Sheldrake Fire Department. Louis liked to explore the world around him and lived in several homes in Sullivan County. He had a love for fast food and music and when in a really good mood would serenade those around him. He also liked to challenge himself to learn new things such as speaking Spanish or work on his art projects. Louis had an engaging personality and always had a story to share with his peers. His presence will be greatly missed.

There will be a visitation at Colonial Funeral Home 396 State Route 52 Woodbourne NY 12788 on Thursday December 20, 2018 from 10am-11am, followed by services starting at 11am and a burial at Hillside Cemetery, Woodbourne NY.
