Obituary of Allen Roy McArthur

Allan Roy McArthur of Livingston Manor passed away on October 12, 2018 at Jack D. Weiler Hospital in NYC. He was 72. He was the son of the late Clifford and Enna McArthur, he was born on March 7, 1946 in Stamford, NY. Allan retired from Seminole Gulf Railway, Fort Myers, FL. He was a very kind, thoughtful and caring person. A dedicated husband, father and grandfather and always had a smile on his face. He always reached out to help others in need and will be truly missed. He is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy Neer McArthur; his son, Shane McArthur and companion, Chena Colton of Livingston Manor and one daughter, Suellen and husband, Shawn Fagon of Livingston Manor; four grandsons: Austin McArthur of Fort Myers, Michael Grantham Jr., Toby Fagan and Ty Fagan of Livingston Manor, one brother, Lynn McArthur and wife, Edith of Livingston Manor, three sisters; Gail Kirchner and husband, John of Liberty, Linda and husband, Terry Miller, Joyce McArthur, Doreen Berthold and husband, Peter and sister-in-law, Terri McArthur, as well as nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one brother, Nelson McArthur, sister Marion Salonich and husband Raymond. Visitation will be on Friday, October 19, 2018 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Colonial-Bryant Funeral Home, 29 Pearl Street, Livingston Manor, NY 12758. A funeral service will begin at the funeral home at 6 p.m. with Rev. Walter Haff officiating.
