Obituary of Laura Castillo

Laura Castillo of South Fallsburg passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 4, 2018 with her children by her side. She was 60.

The daughter of the late Michael and Maria Frunzi, Laura was born on November 5, 1957 in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn.

Laura was a devoted mother and wife. Her love for her children was the driving force in her life. Together Laura and Louis started L.C. Construction, Inc. 33 years ago, leaving behind a legacy for her children. Laura was an amazing daughter, sister, wife, mother and friend; whose sense of humor and infectious laugh will be greatly missed. Laura was loved by all who knew her.

Laura is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Louis Castillo; her children: Leo and wife, Alyson, Laura and husband, Daniel, Louis and wife, Toni, Lance and wife, Martha, and Lakin and fiancé, Robert; also five grandchildren she loved deeply: Kayla, Jared, Peyton, Louis III and Delaney; her siblings: Peter Frunzi and wife, Beverly, Antoinette Burke, Michael Frunzi, Gary Frunzi and wife, Lauren, Marie Dymond. Laura is also survived by her beloved godson, Gary Frunzi, wife, Tabitha and their children, who held a special place in her heart.

Laura was predeceased by her brother, Bruce Frunzi; her dear aunt, Annie Cinitiempo and sister-in-law, Christine Frunzi.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, October 7 at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on at 10 a.m., Monday, October 8 at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 6317 State Route 42, Woodbourne, NY 12788. Burial will take place at a later date.
