Obituary of Dorothy Sosnowski

Dorothy Sosnowski of Woodbourne, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2018 at Orange Regional Medical Center. She was 93. Dorothy was born in Bridgeport, Ct. daughter of the late Timothy Supranowich and Henertitta Stopczynski. "Dotty" career included Embassy service Washington, DC, then as a housewife of her deceased husband Felix Sosnowski, a decorated WWII US ARMY veteran, Normandy, France, deceased April 27, 2000. Dorothy and Felix married August 2, 1947, built their own home atop the Catskill Mountain and cherished the view, living in the country environment, and raising their pride of four sons. Dorothy is survived by her children, Michael Sosnowski and wife Donna, and daughter Amanda of Boston, MA., Russell Sosnowski and wife Cyndi, son Tyler, and daughter Riley of Lake Mohegan, NY., Timothy Sosnowski of Woodbourne, NY and son Alex and daughter Rachel. Dorothy is also survived deceased son Lt. Gary Sosnowski and wife Gwendolyn, son Jason, daughter Daely, granddaughter Lexi of Yukon, OK. Visitation will be on Friday, September 7, 2018 at from 7-9:00 pm at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52 Woodbourne, NY 12788. Interment will be at 10:00 am, on Saturday, September 8, at Grahamsville Rural Cemetery, State Route 55 Grahmsville, NY, Father John Lynch will officiate.
