Obituary of Aldona Savickas

Mrs. Aldona Savickas, 85, of Monticello, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2018, in Monticello. She was a beloved wife, mother, and friend to many.

She was born March 3, 1932 in Lithuania to the late Ottonas and Theresa Liutkus.

She emigrated to the United States after World War II, where she later married Dr. Tadas Savickas of Monticello. She was a member of St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church and a longtime volunteer for the Sullivan County Federation for the Homeless. She received the Jefferson Award for Public Service for her dedication.

Survivors include her daughter, Kristina Skipper, of Dallas, Texas, and her son, Paul Savickas, of Waltham, Massachusetts.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00, Saturday, January 20, 2018 at St. Peter's Church in Monticello. She will be laid to rest at All Saints Cemetery in Great Neck, NY.
