Obituary of Bertha A Penny

Bertha A. Penny, of Grahamsville, passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at Catskill Regional Medical Center. She was 94. She was the daughter of the late Anna Snyder, born on November 22, 1922 in Hoboken, NJ. Bertha worked as a Cottage Parent caring for many children. She moved to Sullivan County 31 years ago with her husband to enjoy their retirement. She looked forward to reading the daily paper, watching T.V. and sewing. She was the widow of her loving husband Harrison "Harry" L. Penny, who passed away in 2000. She is survived by her caretaker and dear friends Mary and Robert Terwilliger and their family; also several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 on Monday, September 11, 2017 at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, NY 12788. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 11:00. Rev. Paul Z. Ruter will officiate. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, N. Arlington, NJ.
