Obituary of Chester Robert Wickberg

Chester Wickberg, Jr. of Woodbourne, passed away on Friday, July 28, 2017 at Orange Regional Medical Center. He was 52.

He was the son of Chester Wickberg Sr. and the late Edna DeGraw, born on December 12, 1964 in Monticello, NY.

Chester worked for Murray’s Chicken for many years as a truck driver, he considered driving his tractor trailer one of his hobbies and truly loved what he did. He also enjoyed mowing his lawn, visiting as many friends and family members as he could fit in one day. He was a loving son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to all who knew him, he will be deeply missed.

He leaves behind his children: Shelly Wickberg and her boyfriend Jason Houghtaling; his longtime love Kim Riker and her son Brian J. Whitehead; grandchildren: Sirena Gonzalez, Mariah Schmitz and Gavin Houghtaling and Brainna; siblings LuAnn Rexford, Doreen McManius, Peggy Sue, Tommy, Oren and Billy Wickberg, Michael, Darren, Ella and Chrissy Young; nieces Cece, Sarra and Samantha; nephews David, Kris and Matt; and his mother-in-law Rebecca Moresco. He was predeceased by one sister Darlene Wickberg

Visitation will be held from 2 to 4pm on Sunday, July 30th at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, NY 12788. A graveside service will be held at 11am on Monday July 31st at Old Falls Cemetery, So. Fallsburg, NY.
