Obituary of Dorothy Duffy-Kester

Dorothy Duffy-Kester, 90, of Woodbourne, New York, passed away on Friday, July 18, 2014, at the Sullivan County Adult Care Home. Dorothy was born in Brooklyn, New York to Bertha and Thomas Duffy. Dorothy was a devoted and loving wife mother and friend who enjoyed spending time with friends and family. We lost a beautiful person, a wife, mother, grandmother sister, aunt and good friend. She was a kind and thoughtful person to all. Dorothy was predeceased by the "love of her life" Fred, as well as her son, Thomas and her two sisters, Bertha, Muriel and two brothers Thomas and Albert. Dorothy is survived by her son and family, Raymond and Lucille Kester, Jessica Kester and fiance Kevin Mantell, Melissa Jester and husband Seth Weiner, great grandson Otto, Dorothy and Christopher Jackman, great grandson William, her daughter and family, Patricia and Harry Reynolds, Matthew, Danielle and Kristilyn Reynolds and daughter-in-law and family, Nancy Carella-Kester, Thomas ad Raymond Kester. The Kester family extends their heartfelt thanks to the Sullivan county Adult Care Center, Liberty, NY especially Unit 3 for their excellent care. The family will receive friends at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home 396 State Route 52 Woodbourne, NY 12788 on Friday, July 25, 2014 from 2-4:00pm and 7-9:00pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 6317 State Route 42 Woodbourne, NY 12788 at 10:00am. Interment will follow at Grahamsville Rural Cemetery, Grahamsville, NY. Donations in Dorothy's name can be made to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, PO Box 66 Woodbourne, NY 12788.
