Obituary of Melissa Wagner

Melissa Wagner of Loch Sheldrake passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at home. She was 37.

She was the daughter of Emily E. Ackerman Wagner and the late Donald Robert Wagner Jr., born on March 7, 1980 in East Meadow, Long Island.

Melissa always enjoyed helping others and for many years she was a home health aide. She was always there when someone needed a helping hand. She will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her loving mother, Emily Wagner, her sister Emily Carr and her husband John Carr Jr.,  both of Monticello, her brothers George Maloney and “Chipper” Donald Wagner, her nephews Donald , Dominick and Brandon, her fiancé Thomas Gilger, her stepmother Linda Wagner, her stepsister Catherine Engleke, her stepbrother Michael Hickey and a host of friends. She was predeceased by her stepfather Richard Lanzello.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 11:00am at DeHoyos Memorial Park, Hayes Street Monticello, New York 12701 with Rev. Jack Polin officiaitng.
