Ruth is a continuing inspiration to all of us who love local history. I first met her when she came to talk with my Mom, a one-room school teacher, about one-room schools. Mom just loved talking to Ruth and we were all delighted with her book about that topic. Her other book about "old Neversink" was a gem. How lucky we are to have had Ruth Kortright not only with her knowledge but with her willingness to share.

My sincere sympathy goes out to your family during this time. I knew your mom from the many times they visited our home with the Fred Williams Old Time Fiddlers. . Your mom and mine had so much fun together. The memories of the laughter in our house during those days was so wonderful. Now your parents and mine will be getting together in Heaven for some old time fun

Sorry to hear about your Mom, I enjoyed visiting with her when I was at Mom and Dad's house during those great Ol' Time Fiddlers practice sessions. Your Mom was a lovely person and will be missed. She is now in Eternal paradise with my Dad and Mom and our Lord and Savior, Jesus. They are probably talking about the good ol'days when they got together. May you find peace in knowing that She has eternal life.

I am so sorry to hear about your mom. As I sit here writing this I think of the many weekends we spent together drinking spring water, watching your mom cook, smelling the fresh hay, gathered together on the porch talking, etc. You all are in my thoughts and prayers as I think of the reuniting of Ruth with Cliff. Many blessings today and everyday. Love, Joanne

I am certainly blessed to have met such a wonderful woman. Agnes Ruth was a genuine old-timer who had a true love and appreciation for family, nature and the preservation of local cemeteries. My heart is with the family always; they accepted me in as one of their own and I will forever be grateful to keeping her memory alive.

What a blessing in my life to have known her great kindness. She will always be an enormous part of my life, and I am grateful for everything she gave me and my sister. So glad she went peacefully, and was so loved by her family. She deserves more than we can ever give her. The kindest heart....

To Butch, Bobby, Kathy, and Patty, I am so sorry for the loss of your mom. I am so grateful for her many years of life, great cooking, warm smile, and gift of hospitality. I'll never forget a high school summer spent bailing hay for both myself and my friend "tater joe" as your mom would refer to him. There are many good memories between our families. I offer you my condolences during this difficult time. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Rusty
