Obituary of Janet Louise Henkelman

Janet Louise Henkelman, of Liberty, passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2017 surrounded by her loved ones. She was 62. She was the daughter of Regina "Jean" Vantran and the late John C. Noval, born on October 4, 1954 in Monticello, NY. Janet worked as an administrative secretary for Daytop Village, Inc for over 20 years. She was very active and donated a lot of her time to her residents. In her free time she enjoyed cooking, creating artwork and crafting, but most of all she loved her family and treasured her grandchildren. She was a loving daughter, mother, nana, sister, aunt and friend to all who knew her, she will be deeply missed and fondly remembered. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her mother, Jean Noval; daughter Jennifer Ratner and her husband Dan Jr.; grandchildren Scarlett and Jordana Ratner; sister Linda McCabe and her husband Brian; sister-in-law Lisa Noval; niece Colleen McCabe; nephew Dustin Noval; great nephew Johnathan Noval; as well as many cousins and friends. She is predeceased by her father John C. Noval and her brother Steven Noval. Donations in Janet's name can be made to the White Sulphur Springs United Methodist Church, Po Box 308, White Sulphur Springs, NY 12787. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2017 from 10a to 12p at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, NY 12788. A funeral service will take place at 12noon at the funeral home. A burial will follow at Woodbourne Cemetery.
