Obituary of William Henry Clark
William Henry Clark began his journey to heaven on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 surrounded by his loving wife; he was 78.
He was the son of the late Jake and Lena Williams Clark, born on October 29, 1934 in Abbeville, Alabama. William attended public school in Abbeville, Henry County Al.
At an early age he confessed his faith in Jesus Christ and joined the church of Jesus Christ. He united in holy matrimony to Terri Clark a devoted wife and friend.
He was an employee at Monticello Racing & Gaming for three years upon his retirement. He then decided to move to Freehold, NJ with his wife. He was a peace, loving, devoted and caring husband and father. He loved everyone he came in
contact with. He loved the lord and went to church every Sunday. There was nothing that he wouldn't do for you if he could. What he really enjoyed in life was his
family and his cooking. William was a self-taught cook. He travelled all around the country giving people the pleasure of eating the meals he prepared. After retiring William took to the hobby of Salvaging which he enjoyed tremendously. He loved
his wife whom he travelled and had a chance to do many wonderful
things together through it all; his wife stood by him.
He is survived by his loving wife Terri Clark of Freehold, NJ, his children Tori
Butler, Nicole Clark, Sharon Bulter, Janet Wharton, Jaszhark Allah, Mark Clark of Asbury Park, NJ, and William Clark Jr. of Eatontown, NJ , Marnina Martin of Atlantic City, NJ, Veronica Clark of Ellenville, William "Henry" Clark of Ellenville, his step-children Shanova Merchant, Gerome Williams and Rachel Holmes of Upstate, NY, 29 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren, two sisters Anne Carson Clark (Lloyd) of Abbeville, AL., and Effie Clark Young (Nolan) of Newnan, GA., 3 brothers Jake Clark Jr. (Dollie) Miami, FL., Steven Clark of Miami Fl., James Clark (Mary) Abbeville, Al., and a host of extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his son William Henry Clark Jr. and his brother Ernest Clark.
The family would like to thank the neighbors and friends who helped care for him in his time of need. Visitation will be on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at the First
Baptist Church of So. Fallsburg, State Route 42 South Fallsburg, NY 12779
from 12:00-2:00pm. A funeral service will begin at 2:00pm at the church.
Interment will follow at Hurleyville Cemetery.
