Obituary of Richard Hankins

Richard W. Hankins of Livingston Manor, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2013 at Catskill Regional Medical Center. He was 68. He was the son of Eva Lacey Terwilliger, born in Liberty, NY on January 24, 1945. Richard was a truck driver for Schmidt's Wholesale in Monticello for many years. He was a member of the Cornerstone Community Church in Grooville and a member of the NRA. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all that knew and loved him; his charm will be greatly missed. He is survived by his devoted wife, Rose Mary DeVoe Hankins; his loving mother, Eva Lacey Terwilliger; one son, James Hankins; three stepchildren: Joy Martin and her husband, Jordan, Adam Bivins, and Jarad Bivins and his wife, Becky; four grandchildren: Dylan Hankins, Nicole Johnson and her husband, Adam, Hannah and Lydia Martin; two great-grandchildren: Helena and Price Johnson; several aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends. He was predeceased by his stepfather, Roger Terwilliger and his father-in-law, Paul DeVoe. Visitation will be on Friday, March 15th, at Herbert C. Bryant Funeral Home, 29 Pearl Street, Livingston Manor, NY 12758 from 2 to 4 p.m. A funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 4 p.m., Pastor Paul Nilsen will officiate.
