Obituary of Samuel Castro

Samuel Castro of Glen Wild passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at Catskill Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family. He was 49. He was the son of the late Providencia Perez and Isabel Castro, born on August 26, 1963 in Manhattan, NY. Samuel was a past member of the Light House Assembly of God Church. He enjoyed painting and liked baseball, especially the NY Mets. He was a great cook and the type of person that would do it himself and would try anything. He was the widow of Maria Castro who passed away earlier this year. He was a loving husband and father that will be missed deeply by everyone that knew and loved him. He is survived by his three children: his son, Richard and fiancee, Laura Schuman of Jersey City, NJ, Aaron and Samantha Castro both of Glen Wild; his siblings, Manuel Domenech of the Bronx, Rosita Castro Gutierrez of Brooklyn; nieces and nephews: Jasmin and Fernando Gutierrez, Farrah and Vanessa Domenech, Lauren, Benjamin, Timothy, Moriah Barrios, Arye Gittleman and sister-in-law, Barbara Harrison and a host of friends. Visitation will be on Thursday, March 28th at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, NY 12788 from 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be on Friday, March 29th at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Arrangements were under the direction of Colonial-Bryant Funeral Home for further information please call 845-434-7363 or visit our website at www.colonialbryantfuneralhome.com.
