Obituary of Catherine Loucks
Catherine "Katie" Loucks of Livingston Manor passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2013 at Achieve Rehab and Nursing Home surrounded by her family. She was 83. She was the daughter of the late Louis and Adeline Edwards Kannegiser, born on June 13, 1929 in Livingston Manor, NY. Katie was an active member in her community; she was a member of St. Aloysius Alter and Rosary Society and a member of the Manor Hose Ladies Auxiliary. She worked in banking for over 39 years and was past treasurer of Sullivan County Republican Committee. She was a member of the New York State Christmas Tree Growers Association. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to all that knew and loved her. To her, family was her number one priority; she loved spending time with them, cooking for them and she would do anything she could for them. Her home was always a warm and welcoming place for her family to come and visit. She will be deeply missed. She leaves behind to cherish her memories her loving children Douglas Loucks and his wife Gina, Ross Loucks, Susan Carlson and her husband Gary, Mary Scandore, and Jeanne Smith and her husband Doug all of Livingston Manor, NY, her grandchildren Andrew Carlson, Christina Marchese, Aaron and Jarrid Schwartz, Nicholas and Gregory Scandore, Matthew, Brian and Daniel Smith, 8 great grandchildren, her sister Adeline Sherwood and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her devoted husband of 58 years Clarence Loucks in 2010 and one brother Louis Kannegiser. Visitation will be on Sunday, April 21, 2013 at Herbert C. Bryant Funeral Home, 29 Pearl Street Livingston Manor, NY 12758 from 2-4:00pm & 7-9:00pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be on Monday, April 22, 2013 at St. Aloysius Church, Livingston Manor, NY at 10:00am. Interment will follow at Lew Beach Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Catherine's name can be made to Livingston Manor Ambulance Corp. 98 Main Street Livingston Manor, NY 12758 or Beaverkill Valley Fire Department, Beaverkill Road, Livingston Manor, NY 12758.
