Obituary of Keith Budlong

Keith Budlong of Woodbourne passed away from cardiac arrest on Monday, April 22, 2013 at Liberty, NY. He was 72. Keith was born on March 6, 1941 in Monticello, NY. He was the son of the late Percy Edgar and Eleanor Rhoda Houghtaling Budlong. He attended Fallsburg Central High School. In the 1960's he owned and operated a TV repair business in Brooklyn, NY, before moving back to Sullivan County. After moving to Woodbourne, Keith owned a TV and antenna repair service company. Later, he was employed by Pitney-Bowes Company and from that position he retired in 2006. He was a member of several different auto clubs such as the AACA, RRLR and LCOC. He owned a 1957 Lincoln Convertible that won dozens of awards and was often seen in local parades around the County. He is survived by his son, Nicholas Budlong of Blacksburg, VA; his former spouse, Kerstin Koops of Charlestown, WV; his sister, Marti Belcher of Vienna, VA; two nieces: Starr Mariotti and Dawn Burton, both of Virginia. He was predeceased by his former spouse, Betty Randall of Liberty, NY. Visitation will be on Sunday, April 28th, at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, NY 12788 from 2 to 4 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 29th, at the funeral home at 2 p.m., Rev. Bob Kersten will officiate. Interment will follow at Woodbourne Cemetery, Woodbourne, NY.
