Eusebio Torres

Obituary of Eusebio Torres

Eusebio Torres of Wirtsboro passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2015 at home. He was 36. He was the son of Nancy Trevino Okun and the late Eusebio Torres born in Monticello on March 12, 1978. Eusebio (Sebio) was loved by his family and friends. An avid sports fan, Sebio loved the Yankees and wearing his team's jerseys, but nothing brought him more joy than his family. Sebio loved life and everything in it; he enjoyed the beach, boats, and cars. He loved dominoes, cards, movies, and he never missed a pig roast. He was passionate about his friends and family, and touched the lives of everyone who met him. He could always be counted upon to help others. May memories of his smile and ready laughter comfort those he left behind, and may he find peace in God's embrace. He leaves behind his beloved daughter Brooke Lynne Torres, her mother Sarah Zecchini, his mother Nancy Trevino Okun, step-father Jeffrey Okun, grandparents Anna Mercedes Calderon and Luis Pena, second mom and Aunt Carmen Maria Torres, cousin Rosa Maria Torres, and many other aunts and uncles and cousins. In addition to his family, Sebio had many friends who loved him and will cherish his memory, especially Mike Colletti, his best friend since childhood. Sebio was pre-deceased by his father Eusebio Torres, and grandparents Natividad and Lozado and Cosme Torres. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Red Cross 2025 E Street, NW Washington, DC 20006. A service will be held at St. Peter's Church, Corner of Liberty Street & Broadway, Monticello, NY on May 9th, at 1:00 pm. A celebration of his life will be held at River's Edge, 951 State Route 52, 17B Mongaup Valley, NY immediately following. Arrangements were under the direction of Colonial-Bryant Funeral Homes, for further information please call 845-434-7363 or visit www.colonialbryantfuneralhome.com.
