Obituary of Lynne Weiner
Lynne Lehrman Weiner of White Plains passed away on November 30, 2014. She was 78. Lynne was born May 5, 1926, the daughter of Dr. Philip Rafael Lehrman, the NYC Psychoanalyst, and Wanda Scheps Lehrman.
Our beloved mother, Lynne passed only 18 months after losing her beloved husband of 65 years, and our cherished father, John Weiner. Lynne was a cherished daughter, sister to Howard, niece, cousin, aunt, great aunt, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, in-law, and friend. She had endless love and support for her children, Meyer Weiner (Evelyn Zimmerman) of Los Angeles, Erica Weiner Price (Phillip) of Gallatin, TN, and Sara Weiner (Jim Sullivan) of Tucson AZ; her grandchildren Dennis Hawkins (Sylvia), Alyssa and Zachary Sullivan; and great-grandchildren Dakota and Dane Hawkins. Lynne was a journalist, writer, poet, songwriter, filmographer, liberal political activist, fabulous cook, and Lehrman-family archivist and reunion organizer. She spent many years in a labor of love researching, writing and publishing her film documentary and her book both called "Sigmund Freud Through Lehrman’s Lens" based on films her father took of Professor Freud and colleagues in 1928-1929. She will always be loved, missed, and remembered with great affection.
