Christian Anthony St. James lost his battle with heart disease on Monday, October 6, 2014. Chris, originally from Brooklyn, NY, relocated permanently to Sullivan County in 1995.
To his friends, Chris will be remembered for his generosity and humor. His family will remember him for his strength, courage and powerful resolve. He leaves behind his life partner of 25 years, Jean Dermer and daughter, Ariana, his mother Rose Genova, two brothers, Dennis and Jerry and his sister Lucy, and his brother-in-law Stanley Toscano who he viewed like a brother. His beloved sister, Josephine, predeceased him.
Among the dozens of friends that mourn his loss are his three best buddies, Dan Bivins, Moishe Kleinburger and Frank Yoli.
Chris could do anything he put his mind to. He loved blue oceans, great music, a good meal, classic cars and working in his wood shop. Most of all, he loved to make people laugh. He was a gentleman and a patriot; a true friend. He will remain forever in the hearts of all that knew him.
