Obituary of Elizabeth Jeannie Devoe

Elizabeth Jeannie Devoe of Livingston Manor passed away quietly on September 23, 2014 with her family and friends by her side at Orange Regional Medical Center. She was 56. She was the daughter of Josie Kurpil Devoe and the late Paul Devoe, born on June 26, 1958 in Liberty, NY. Jeannie had a love and passion for everything in life – family, friends, gardening or kayaking with the greatest being dog rescue. She had a way of touching hearts more than we will ever realize. Her family and close friends Linda, Vicki and Diane were her rocks of encouragement through her battle with cancer and held her close right to the end. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her mother Josie Devoe, her four sisters Mary Hankins, Caroline Devoe, Rita Devoe, Beth Cronk and her husband Tom, one brother Richard Devoe, all of Livingston Manor, her longtime companion Jay Parrow at home, several nieces, nephews and cousins; also her step family, Minnie Devoe and her children Pat, David, Michael, Susan and MaryBeth. A celebration of Jeannie's life and reception will take place on Sunday, October 5, 2014 at 2:00pm at the Cornerstone Community Church in Grooville. Given Jeannie's amazing love of animals, memorial donations may be made to any animal rescue operation, Team Beamer, American Cancer Society, or "Devoe"-ted to a Cure scholarship fund.
