Obituary of William H. DeVaynes
William Henry DeVaynes, Jr., a 31-year resident of Youngsville, passed away peacefully at home, with his loving family by his side on Tuesday, October 29, 2013. He was 81.
He was born on September 25, 1932 in Brooklyn, NY, to the late William and Katherine DeVaynes.
William was a gifted cake baker and artist all of his life. He will live on through his art that will be treasured forever by his family and friends. He will be greatly missed. He was a dedicated Jehovah Witness and was a member of The Kingdom Hall.
He is survived by his loving children: Deborah Heusel and her husband, Steve; Doreen Randall and her husband, Jack; Diane Campbell and her husband, Michael; Donna Del Re and her husband, Guy; Dora Wright and her husband, Eric; and Mary DeVaynes. He is further survived by 16 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; his sister, Gloria Lopresti, and brother, Richie DeVaynes. He was preceded by his devoted wife, Mary DeVaynes; his brothers: Lionel, Howard, Ronnie, and Harry DeVaynes.
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 31st, at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, NY 12788 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
