Obituary of Shelley DuMond Weinstein

Shelley DuMond Weinstein of Rock Hill passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. She was 61. She was the daughter of the late Marian Oestrich DuMond born on September 20, 1952 in Liberty, NY. She was a caterer and partner, along with her husband, of Bernie's Holiday Restaurant. Shelley's passions were cooking, entertaining, decorating and shopping. She loved being surrounded by her family and friends. She was a devoted wife, mother, and most recently grandmother. She will be missed by everyone that knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband of 33 years Jay Weinstein, her children Jayson Weinstein and his wife Monica of Virginia, Cori Weinstein of Rock Hill, one grandson Parker Owen Weinstein, one brother Fred DuMond of Livingston Manor, aunts Esther Simpson and Debbie Johaneman both of Livingston Manor, cousin Gail Simpson also of Livingston Manor, mother and father-in-law Joy and Bernie Weinstein of Florida, sister-in-law Jil Madnick of Goshen, several nieces, nephews, cousins and countless close friends. There will be a funeral service on Friday, January 10, 2014 at Herbert C. Bryant Funeral Home, 29 Pearl Street, Livingston Manor, NY 12758 at 11:00am. Interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations in Shelley's name can be made to Allyson Whitney Foundation, Inc., PO Box 586, Rock Hill, NY 12775 or Trevor John Loughlin Memorial Fund' P.O. Box 786, Rock Hill, N.Y.
