Obituary of Roberta Di Meo

Roberta Di Meo of Liberty passed away with her family by her side on Monday, January 13, 2014. She was 74. She was the daughter of the late Gus and Ida Greenburg Strauss born on January 17, 1939 in Brooklyn, NY. She was known to many as "Grandma Bobbie" or "Grandmother of All". She was a member of the Light House Ministries in Liberty, NY and a member of Women's AGLOW of Sullivan County. Roberta loved children; she was a foster mother and grandmother. She impacted a lot of children throughout her life. In her spare time she enjoyed cooking, baking, decorating cakes, arts and crafts but most importantly spending time with her family. She always made her home a warm and inviting place for all to come and visit. She will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved her. She is survived by her children Lawrence Di Meo and his wife Kathy of Liberty and Yvette Beach and her husband Patrick of Florida, two grandsons Joshua David Di Meo and Ricky Beach, her granddaughters Dawn Medina and her husband Gabriel, Jennifer Guadalupe and her husband Ben, Jamie VanGilder and her husband Jimmy, Hailey and Marissa Beach, Grace Ienuso, Lauren, Benjamin, Timothy and Moriah Berrios, great grandchildren Gabriel, Vanessa, Nicole, Arianna, Ashlie, Isabale, Meghan, Kristyn and Kaelyn, and a host of friends. Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home 396 State Route 52 Woodbourne, NY 12788 from 7-9:00pm. There will be a funeral service at the funeral home on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at 11:00am. Rev. Richard Ienuso will officiate. Interment will follow at Workman's Circle Cemetery in Glenwild, NY.
