Obituary of Bernice Claire Wagner

Bunny Wagner, of Forestburgh, NY, a life time resident and former Chief Civil Deputy of Sullivan County Sheriff's Office, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2014 at her home in Florida with her loving daughter, Lynn Joseph and her three nieces by her side. She was 80. Bunny was the first female in Sullivan County to achieve the rank of Chief in the Sherriff's Office. She is the daughter of Claire Eagan and Jay Robinson born on October 5, 1933 in Sparrow Bush, NY. Bunny is survived by her daughters, Lynn Marie Joseph of Florida and Karla Joy Scheinman and son-in-law, Robert of Woodbourne, NY; two loving grandchildren, Lisa and Sara Scheinman of Manhattan, NY; sisters, Shirley Toomey of Forestburgh, NY and Linda Smith of Liberty, NY; and many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, William Wagner; brother, Stanley Smith; son-in-law, Marcus Joseph; and nephews: Darren Foss, Brian Foss and Ronald Martinek. There will be a Funeral Service at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, January 28th at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, NY 12788. Interment will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery in White Sulphur Springs NY.
