Obituary of Sharon J. Egan
Sharon J. Egan, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt passed away on February 13, 2014 at home with her loving husband by her side after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 50 years young.
Sharon will always be remembered for her free spirit and her stubborn attitude. She did not take no for an answer. She mad thing happen.
The daughter of the late Raymond W. Mead and Vernie M. Davis she was born July 1, 1963 in Liberty, NY. She was married to the love of her life, Frank Egan, for 32 years.
Sharon was a lifelong resident of Livingston Manor. She is survived by her husband, Frank Egan, her children: Jesse Egan, Rebecca Egan and Frank Egan Jr. She is also survived by her sister, Bonnie Huebsch (Sean) and borthers, Ronald Mead, Richard Mead (Jackie) and William Mead (Cathy) sister-in-laws, Jean Mead and Dawn Seeno, Lynn Egan (Bob) and Diane Egan-Zimmerman (Brian).
Sharon's greatest passions were her 8 grandchildren. She loved them more than life itself. If they needed something she was sure to find a way to get it. They are Austin Egan, Hailey Benson, Diamond, Raeanne, and hunter Hendrickson. She will be greatly missed by all.
She is also survived by countless nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Monday, February 17, 2014 from 2-4:00pm at Herbert C. Bryant Funeral Home.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Pat and all the staff from Orange/Sullivan Hospice Care for taking such great care of Sharon in her final days. We could not have done it without them.
Sharon was predeceased by her sisters, Darleen Mead, Madeline Mead, Joan Gorr, Betty Newberry, Shirley Ann Davis and her brothers, Sonny VanDuser, Winnie VanDuser, Raymond Mead Jr. and Franklyn Mead.
Donations can be made in Sharon's name to Orange/ Sullivan Hospice.
