Obituary of Avra Beth Wolfson

Avra Beth Wolfson of Loch Sheldrake, NY passed away on Friday, February 14, 2014 in the comfort of her home. She was 60. She was the daughter of the late Syliva Golland and Joseph Wolfson, born on November 5, 1953 in Manhattan, NY. Avra will be particularly remembered for her love of animals, jewelry-makings and singing. She was a breast cancer survivor and participant in her community's Relay for Life to support cancer research. Avra will be remembered as a kind, caring woman who valued her faith and the support of her loved ones. She is survived by her brother Charles, sister-in-law Margo, and their children Sara, Corinne and Jonathan, sister Leona and brother-in-law Fred, and brother Howard. She will be missed and remembered by her family and friends at New Hope Community. There will be a gathering on Monday, February 17, 2014 at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, NY 12788 from 10-10:30am; followed by a funeral service at the funeral home at 10:30am. Interment will be at Woodbourne Cemetery.
