Obituary of Ruth Margaret Aprilante

Ruth Margaret Aprilante of Neversink passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at Catskill Regional Medical Center. She was 75. She was the daughter of the late John and Elsie Kaasman Huttmann born on March 20, 1938 in Brooklyn, NY. Ruth was a nurse for many years. She worked at several different locations throughout her career; such as Lutheran Medical Center, Community General Hospital and Sullivan Correctional Facility which she later retired from. Ruth was an avid knitter and reader. She was a past member of the Cochecton's Women's Club and the Ladies Auxiliary of Grahamsville Fire Department. She was a loving mother and grandmother that will be deeply missed by everyone that knew and loved her. She is survived by: her children Lisa Raymond, and her husband, Bruce of Neversink; John Aprilante and his wife Faith, of Fort Montgomery, NY; and Susan Engle and her husband Ken of Roscoe, NY., her grandchildren, Erik and Samantha Raymond, Jack and Ben Aprilante and Mollie and Ty Engle. She was predeceased by her devoted husband Silvio Aprilante, two sisters, Elsie Markel and Dorothy Engel. Visitation will be on Sunday, March 9, 2014 at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, NY 12788 from 2-4:00pm. A funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 4:00pm.
