Obituary of George T. Shaw

George Shaw of Harris passed away on Friday, February 28, 2014 at Catskill Regional Medical Center. He was 66. He was the son of the late Katherine and George T. Shaw Sr. born June 12, 1947 in New York City, NY. George spent most of his life in Sullivan County, NY. George worked at Kutsher's Country Club from 1968 to 2013. During that time, George worked his way up from an employee in the Housekeeping Department to becoming the Executive Housekeeper. George was recognized as a valuable asset to the operation of the hotel. He was a trusted employee that the Kutsher family relied upon over the many years. Anyone that knew George, knew that he always had a story to tell that would leave you laughing. Laughter was in his heart. George had a love for the outdoors; fishing, camping and his animals. He had a special place in his heart for his son, George, and later for his extended family. Survivors include his son, George; daughter in-law, Paula; grandchildren, Sebastian and Santiago. His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends thatGeorge had touched in some way throughout his life.
