Obituary of Robynne Anderman-Pacheco

The light in our lives has dimmed. Robynne Anderman-Pacheco, born February 3, 1964 passed away on March 12, 2014 relieving herself of the torturous pain she endured as a warrior for 18 months fighting her rare form of an unknown primary cancer. (CUP) She was predeceased by her dads, Hesh Anderman and Art Hussey, and her grandparents, Ada and Sydney Landau and Sam and Esther Anderman. She leaves as survivors her dearly beloved husband, Angelo Pacheco; her adoring children: Lindsay and Joshua Malman; her devoted mother and dear friend, Arlene Hussey; her loving brothers: Wayne Anderman (Sheryl), Art Hussey Jr., (Tracey), and siblings: Kathleen Hussey Smith, (Jerry) and Bill Hussey (DiVonne). She also leaves behind her mother-in-law, Carmen Pacheco and the beautiful children she gained from her marriage to Angelo: Anthony, Victor, Jason and Aliyah. Grieving deeply are her Aunt Lorraine Landau (John) and cousin, Dayna Kalmus. She also leaves behind her Uncle Frank Anderman (Myrna), her Aunt Pearl (Jack) many cousins, nieces, nephews, and lifelong family friends Vita and Al Adler. Robynne will be sorely missed by her lifelong friends: Patricia (Bisha) Cuviello, Lynda Levine, Melissa Neiderman, Michelle Elliott, Mary Davis, Jacquie Leventoff, Jamie Wilson, Julie Lonstein, and Alison Frey. They stood by her side throughout her courageous fight, along with her "sisters from another mother": Shari Mednick, (Michael) and Melonie Cruz (Miguel). Added to her lifelong friends are Alan Cohen; Karen Billig (Jay), - your friendship has been priceless - Suzanne Wilson, Nancy Ramos, Teresa Randall and Paul Sussman and so many of her friends and colleagues that were supportive in all ways. The fundraiser initiated in her name by Shari Mednick received support from so many people, you know who you are and so do we, and the family gratefully thanks you. Thank you to the Hurleyville Fire Department for the spaghetti and meatball dinner started as a fundraiser by Shari Mednick, Michelle Denenberg, Boni Barnofsky and supported by others too numerous to mention. Again, you know who you are. Barbara Strong, your emotional, and otherwise, support has been received with love. Robynne was an extraordinary friend to all who shared her friendship. Her smile and warmth, her inner and outer beauty, and her compassionate nature defined who she was. She raised two wonderful children as a single mother and their devotion was evident during this trying time. At 19 and 16 years of age they are displaying the wonderful values taught to them by their mother. Robynne was an honor graduate of the Fallsburg Central School District. She graduated 4th in her class, won a community scholarship and other academic medals, and was active in many areas, including the Thespian Society, cheerleading and sports. After graduating from SUNY Albany and the College of St. Rose, she brought back her talent and creativity as a teacher in the Benjamin Cosor Elementary School. Her love for music and acting showed in the numerous high school plays she co-directed with Shari Mednick. She desperately missed being in her class room with her students during this 18 month ordeal. She gave of herself, equally, to children of all denominations and needs. Angelo brought into Robynne's life a love she had never before known. He adored her and showed it constantly in every way. He is torn by the loss and may his pain lessen by knowing that she is free from pain and in a better place. Her children and mother are numb from grief, but will try to emulate her strength and carry out her wishes. She is now with her loving dads, Hesh and Art and may she watch over all of us. Special thanks go to Hospice of Sullivan and Orange Counties and to the Oncology Unit at Orange Regional Medical Center. Their care and compassion was marvelous. Donations may be made in Robynne's name to the Oncology Unit at ORMC, 707 East Main Street, Middletown, NY 10940, Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties, 800 Stony Brook Ct., Newburgh, NY 12550 and the Samuel Beytin Community Scholarship of Fallsburg High School.
