Obituary of Rose Maire Gallagher
Rose Marie Gallagher of Woodridge passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at
Achieve Nursing Home and Rehab surrounded by her family. She was 72.
She was the daughter of the late Leonard and Pearl Skinner Koferl, born on
September 9, 1941 in Narrowsburg, NY.
Rose was very active in her community. She worked at several different places
within the community. She was the Past President of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW #
6294 of Woodridge and Mountaindale, the American Legion #1053, Sullivan County
Legion, Liberty Post # 9217 and Sullivan County VFW. She was a loving wife,
mother, grandmother, and great grandmother; she will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 27 years Frank Gallagher, her loving
children Robert Koferl and Roberta Kehrley, Deborah Mann, Balsley "Bucky" Loucks
and his wife Lorraine, Lillian "Cookie" Magie and her husband William, Della
Norris, and Peter Alsdorf, twenty-two grandchildren, six great grandchildren,
three siblings James Koferl, Eleanor Edwards, and Augusta DeGraw, and her
extended family. She was
predeceased by nine brothers and sisters.
A memorial graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at 11:00am
at Sullivan County Veterans Cemetery, Sunset Lake Road, Liberty, NY. Pastor
Susan Woodworth will officiate.
