Obituary of Lester Berman

Lester Berman of Loch Sheldrake passed away peacefully at Catskill Regional Medical Center on Friday, April 11, 2014. He was 95. He was the son of the late John Joseph Rattell and Lillian Helen Backer, born on November 27, 1918 in Chicago, Illinois. Lester will be particularly remembered for his love of music, thirst for knowledge and his dedication to his Jewish faith. He was a talented artist and his artwork s featured throughout the hallways of New Hope Community. Lester will be deeply missed by his friends and extended family at New Hope Community, where he has resided since 1977. There will be a funeral service today, Sunday, April 13, 2014 at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52 Woodbourne, NY 12788 at 1:30Pm. Interment will follow at Woodbourne Cemetery, Woodbourne, NY.
