Obituary of Danny Barry

Surrounded by his family and friends, Danny Lee Barry of Liberty passed away peacefully in his sleep after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 59. Danny was a hardworking family man who loved his children dearly. They were the light of his life. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt. His favorite hobby was clamming on the beaches in Rhode Island. Danny is survived by his wife Suanne and their children Corey and Rachel; as well as his daughter Shannon Barry-Troise and his grandchildren Dakota, Gianna and Carlie Mason. He will be missed by his mother Eva, his sister Earlene and niece Candace. In addition to many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends especially his lifelong friend James Ratner. He will also be missed by the Berger family, his mother-in-law Mary, uncle-in-law Lee , brother-in-law Mitch and his wife Rebecca and their children Eric, Travis and Delaney; his sister ?in-law Penny and her children Jessica and Sarah. Danny was predeceased by his father Harrison Sr. and his brother Harrison Jr. as well as his father-in-law Ralph Berger. A special thank you to Dr. Dinsmore for his compassion and honestly which Danny truly appreciated. A thank you also to the doctors, nurses and staff of Catskill Regional Medical Center second floor for their wonderful care. Donations can be made in Danny?s name to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties, 800 Stony Brook Ct Newburgh, NY 12550 Visitation will be on Thursday, June 18, 2013 at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52 Woodbourne, NY 12788 from 2-4:00pm & 7-9:00pm. A funeral service will be held Thursday evening at 8:00pm at the funeral home; Pastor Jim Kaufman will officiate along with Regina McNelis.
