Obituary of Melvin A. Finkle

Lifelong of Livingston Manor Melvin Finkle died on Monday, April 28, 2014 at his daughter's home in Waymart, PA. He was 64. Melvin (Mel) was born on January 25, 1950 in Livingston Manor, NY., to the late Alonzo and Barbetta Hamm Finkle. He was a Vietnam Veteran and proudly served our country in the United States Army from 1970-1971 in Cambodia. He worked at Highway Culvert in Fallsburg for many years as well as Warehouse Paint and Carpet in Liberty NY with lifelong friend Rick Zeiniger who sadly predeceased him. In his spare time he loved to fish and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his 4 daughters, Peggy Galligan and her husband Edward of Bethel, NY., Joyce Hendrickson of Port Orange, FL., Katie Millen and her husband Frank of Waymart, PA., and Kimberly Megyeri and her husband Michael of Bristol, VA., one son Lonnie Finkle and his wife Rhonda of Hampstead, NC., 11 grandchildren, Dylan Galligan, Edward Jones Jr., Austin Hendrickson, Garrett Millen, Brendan Finkle, Brian Finkle, Brett Finkle Alexa Galligan, Tammy Millen, Naia Bittner and Madison Megyeri, four siblings Vernon and Kenneth Finkle, Nancy Perez and Katherine Marshall all of Livingston Manor and a host of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Clyde Finkle. There will be memorial visitation will be on June 7, 2014 at Herbert C. Bryant Funeral Home, 29 Pearl Street, Livingston Manor, NY 12758 from 2-4:00pm.
