Obituary of Harevy E.V. Tann

Harvey E. V. Tann age 73 of Ellenville, NY died suddenly on Monday, May 12, 2014 at his home in Ellenville, NY. He was born on March 8, 1941 in Roosevelt Long Island, NY to the late Calvin E. and Gertrude Smalls Tann. Harvey graduated from Hempstead High School and attended West Virginia State University. Harvey later entered the US Air force and was honorably discharged in 1963. Formerly a Vice President at Citibank, he was most recently employed by the Department of Civil Services of the State of New York as well as a counselor with the Honor Court program. Harvey was preceded in death by his brother Calvin Tann Jr., sisters Peggy Gaines and Arnetha (Helen) Tann. He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife Lottie, sons Spencer S. Tann (Joan), Marlon D. Tann (Vahma), Michael Armstong (Aida) and daughter Sabrina (Arkiem); sister Pauline Davis and brother Robert L. Tann (Alzetta). The grand children he so dearly loved Spenser S. Tann, Ashland Tann, Jonay Tann, Maya Tann, Myles Armstrong and twins Jasmine, Jason Tann, Julia Harris and Ryan Harris, and many nieces, nephews, in-laws, family and friends. Visitation will be held today, Friday, May 16, 2014 at Mount Olive Southern Baptist Church 236 N Pearl Street, Albany, NY from 4 - 6:00pm with a funeral service starting at 6:00pm. On Saturday, May 17, 2014 visitation will be held at the Ellenville Reformed Church 188 Canal Street, Ellenville, NY 12428 from 8:30- 9:30am. A Funeral service will begin at the church at 9:30am. Followed by interment at Fantinekill Cemetery, Ellenville, NY.
