Obituary of Kathryn Robertson

Kathryn Marion Robertson died peacefully on Friday, February 10, 2012 at Lenox Hill Hospital, New York, NY with her loving family members at her side. She was 79 years of age. Kathryn was born to Arthur and Marion (Krantz) Robisch on December 31, 1932 in Callicoon, NY. She was wed to Frederick J. Robertson on April 11, 1954. After graduating from Jeffersonville-Youngsville Central School in the Class of 1951, Kathryn then worked as a secretary to Principal Irwin Baker at her alma mater. Kathryn was a devoted member of the Grahamsville Reformed Church where she served as Secretary of the Sunday School. She was a member of the Ladies Aid and faithfully contributed to many church activities. She was also a member of the Sullivan County Christian Women?s Organization for many years. More recently, Kathryn served as a member of the Sullivan County Adult Care Center?s Family Council in Liberty, NY. She is survived by her loving husband and three beloved children: Charles Robertson of Pensacola, FL, Laurie Gillespie and her husband, Patrick of Ithaca, NY, and James Robertson of Virginia Beach, VA. She leaves four cherished grandchildren: Jaimie Robertson, Amy Braun and her husband, Daniel, Charles Michael Robertson, and Olivia Gillespie; two great-grandchildren, Trey Bearden and Emma Braun; a brother, Paul Robisch of Seattle, WA, and several cousins, and many dear friends. Family and friends are invited to gather on Monday, February 13 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, NY 12788. Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 14 at 10 a.m. at the Grahamsville Reformed Church in Grahamsville, NY. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery in White Sulphur Springs, NY on February 14, at 2 p.m. for family and friends. Memorial contributions may be made in Kathryn?s name to the Grahamsville Reformed Church Memorial Fund, Grahamsville, NY 12740 or the Sullivan County Adult Care Center?s Family Council, Infirmary Road, Liberty, NY 12754.
