Obituary of Harold Krum

Harold Lewis Krum December 28, 1931 ? February 28, 2012 Harold Lewis Krum, of Livingston Manor, NY passed away at home on February 28, 2012. He was 81. Harold was the only child of Harold Herman and Hilda Slawson Krum, born on December 28, 1931 in Bradley, NY. In 1948 Harold married Betty Davis and they had four children Patricia, Rosemarie, Anita and Michael. In time nine grandchildren Jennifer, Ann, Shawn, Jeremy, Audra, Joseph, Curtis, Brandon and Douglas as well as five great grandchildren Kayla, Tony, Scott, Keira and Landon joined the family. He is predeceased by his daughter Anita. Harold first worked with his father at their own construction company before going to work for the Sullivan County DPW where he retired as foreman. Harold was an avid outdoorsman and animal lover most particularly horses and ponies. He was a member for over 50 years and past president of the Hunter Road Hunting Club, The Sullivan County Long Beards, The Livingston Manor Rod and Gun Club and the Sullivan County Federation of Sportsman who named him 2009 Sportsman of the Year. He will be greatly missed by all his friends and family. Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at Herbert C. Bryant Funeral Home, 29 Pearl Street, Livingston Manor, NY 12759, from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A funeral services will be held at 10:00am Wednesday March 14, 2012 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Grahamsville Rural Cemetery. A reception will be held at the Eastern Star Hall at 1:00 p.m. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties, 800 Stony Brook Court Newburgh, NY 12550.
