Obituary of Jeannette R. Owen

Jeannette R. Owen of Livingston Manor passed away on June 25, 2014 at Catskill Regional Medical Center. She was 71. She was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Rose McUmber May, born on August 11, 1942 in Callicoon, NY. Jeannette grew up in Horton Brook. She was an occupational therapist at Roscoe Nursing Home and Walnut Mountain Nursing Home; she also served as a home health aide. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all that knew and loved her she will be deeply missed. She is survived by her loving husband and best friend of 33 years Bowman Owen, their children Shelly Cooke-Misner of Livingston Manor, Kim Cooke-Neer of Monticello, Patricia DeGasperis of Mexico, Sharon Owen of Rochester, Susan Owen of South Carolina, Sandra Owen-Kelly of Virginia, 15 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and several cousins and a host of friends. She was predeceased by her daughter Shiela Owen-Wolcott and son Steven Owen. There will be memorial visitation on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at Herbert C. Bryant Funeral Home, 29 Pearl Street Livingston Manor, NY 12758 from 7-9:00pm. In lieu of flowers donations in Jeannette's name can be made to Sullivan County SPCA 104 Rock Hill Drive, Rock Hill, NY 12775, Roscoe Regional Rehabilitation & RHCF 420 Rockland Road, Roscoe, NY 12776-6450 or Achieve Rehab and Nursing Facility 170 Lake Street, Liberty, NY 12754.
