Obituary of Joseph DiGerardo

Joseph Anthony DiGerardo III of Woodbourne passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 7, 2012. He was 18. He was the son of Joseph Jr. and Annette R. Montefusco DiGerardo, born on November 20, 1993 in Stroudsburg, PA. He was a proud graduate of Tri-Valley Central School Class of 2011. He loved the outdoors and was very active. He enjoyed four wheeling, fishing and snowmobiling. He was a hands-on type of person that could build just about anything. Aside from building things he also liked to do electrical work. He loved to listen to music and spend time with his family. He was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend to all that knew and loved him. He had so much to offer and will continue to live on in the memories of his loved ones hearts. He will be truly missed. He is survived by his parents, Joseph and Annette DiGerardo; his sisters, Jennifer Hoover and her husband, Matthew and Stefanie DiGerardo and her fiance, Todd Gallo; one niece, Gia Hoover; his maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Montefusco and his canine companion, Chloe, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Joseph Montefusco, and his paternal grandparents, Ruth and Joseph A. DiGerardo Sr. Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 10 at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, NY 12788 from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be on Wednesday, July 11 at Grahamsville United Methodist Church at 11 a.m. Rev. Bob Kersten will officiate.
